Kate works with a wide variety of children and teens, and specializes in working with developing and elite performing artists, visual artists and athletes. She draws on influences from Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Expressive Therapies in a holistic approach to help affect positive growth and change. She can help with a wide range of challenges including symptoms of:

depression
anxiety
friendships
negative behaviors
performance anxieties in athletes and artists
Kate has years of experience working in schools and enjoys supporting children's teachers and support staff at school as needed.

About Kate
Kate Tapply was born and raised in Concord, MA where she attended both public and private schools. She went on to earn her undergraduate degree from Connecticut College magna cum laude, and her graduate degree in School and Community Counseling from Lesley University. Kate is both a School Counselor for students in grades Pre-K-9 and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor working with children, teens and adults in private practice.
Kate is a professionally trained ballet and modern dancer and performed with small dance companies in Boston and New York for over twenty years. She started and ran her own dance school, Moving Arts Dance in Harvard MA for nearly a decade before retiring from dance and becoming a counselor.
Kate lives locally and is the mother of her two growing daughters.
